Components Of Emotional Intelligence

  • Self Awareness - The ability to recognize an emotion as soon as you experience it. Can you  accurately identify your emotions? Do you know how to mange them?
Are you always aware of what you are feeling?
  • Self Regulation - Being honest, and having integrity shows emotional intelligence. Being conscientious, and open to new ideas also shows emotional intelligence. 

  • Self Motivation - Ability to take steps toward your goal, despite obstacles.

  • Empathy - The ability to recognize the emotions of others, and react in a way that preserves, or improves the relationship, while showing love for yourself.
Can you tell the difference in a person who is angry, and a person who is afraid? 

  • Social Skills - The ability to take actions that foster positive positive relationships.
